Nutritional Value of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is known to contain more than 75 active compounds.  It is a rich source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, amino acids, fatty acids, and polysaccharides. There are edible and non-edible varieties of Aloe Vera. They differ in the colour of their leaves and flowers, and in their shape. Edible varieties can be used topically or consumed, while inedible varieties can be applied to the skin.
