There are many definitions and many kinds of love. We can love our partner, our children, our friends, our pets, our job, our car, our home, our life, our body, our neighbors….

We can love more or less, more or less passionately, we can love temporarily or forever, we can just think or say we love and not really love, we can be happy that we love or be unhappy about it. But we need to ask ourselves some questions:

  • Do we really know what love means?
  •  Do we always REALLY love when we think we love?
  •  Do we sometimes expect something in return for our love?
  •  Does our love change or weaken in any way if we don’t get what we expect?
  • And are we ready to admit to ourselves honest answers to these questions?

So, what is love?

Love is our breath, heartbeat, our gaze, our feeling, our thought, blue sky, birds chirping, wind in our hair, the morning dew, love is a song, verse, rainbow colors, love is the infinity that surrounds us…. Love is YOU.

Most of us go through life counting our commitments, creating possible scenarios of events of the day, judging ourselves if we forget something important, judging our loved ones because they don’t meet our expectations, and fearing of what the future holds. Many of us wake up in the morning and immediately start thinking about what awaits us during the day and try hard not to forget something. We put on our “serious mask”, frown, and set off for a new day.

Thus, everyday problems worry us even more, and we are angry because we don’t see a solution. The feeling of discomfort in the stomach brings us restlessness, anxiety, and fear, and then one day we look back and wonder when life has passed us by. And then we wonder if we could have done anything differently.

The answer is YES.

There are many things we could have done differently. But there are so many things we can still change or do.

Be yourself

Do not pretend to be another person just to please someone. Be who you are and you will realize that people like you the way you are. If those around you don’t – then you are among the wrong people and when you stop acting you will attract the right people into your life. You will be more energized and more at peace with yourself and the world.

Love yourself

Instead of frowning at yourself in the mirror when you get up in the morning – SMILE and say “I look good; I am happy; Today I have a wonderful day; I LOVE MYSELF!” It will seem strange at first, but after a while, you will start to really mean that. And that’s going to set you up for a successful day.

Love others

That is something that can change your relationships for the better. Instead of judging the people around you for not behaving by your standards, try to think about what is going on in their lives at that moment and try to find an excuse for their behavior. Try to love them for who they are and bless them instead of cursing them. Their behavior will change and they will change. If they don’t, they will try to get out of your way, because your vibration won’t match theirs.

Be aware and enjoy

Be aware of the things around you and enjoy them. Be aware of the beautiful blue sky, the breeze, the sun, the birds, the flowers, the beautiful powerful trees, and all those beautiful souls around you. Don’t let them just pass by. All these things are created for you and all these beautiful souls are here for you. Dedicate at least one heartbeat to them. Enjoy your family, enjoy your friends, neighbors, your pets, and enjoy your job no matter how hard it is and you will find yourself enjoying your life.

Count your blessings and be grateful

At the end of the day summarize and count your blessings. Do not just take everything for granted. Be aware of all the good things you have, all the good things that have happened, and all the good people in your life. Be grateful for all the blessings that have come your way.

Expand your heart

Before going to sleep, close your eyes and listen to your body. Feel your heart, pay attention to your breath and say “thank you for being there for me 24/7 no matter what”. And feel love for your body, for yourself. Feel that love in your heart and let it come out of your heart, out of your home, out of your country – feel it and expand it beyond the planet. Then, go to sleep with your heart open to yourself and everybody else.

Therefore, don’t just say “my heart goes out to….” but REALLY mean and feel it.
