No-Bake Christmas Desserts

The festive season is the most exciting season of the year. People decorate their houses, exchange gifts, catch up with family and friends, host dinners and bake cookies… but not everyone is into baking. Try these no-bake Christmas desserts that are easy to make. Enjoy!

No-Bake Christmas Desserts Recipes

Christmas Rum Balls

Ingredients:

  • 100 g walnuts
  • 100 g almonds
  • 150 g biscuits
  • 50 g icing sugar
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 3 tbs honey or maple syrup
  • 50 ml apple juice
No-Bake Christmas Desserts

Method:

Step 1

Place walnuts, almonds, and biscuits in a food processor and process until finely ground.

Step 2

Add all the ingredients to a large bowl.

Step 3

You can start off mixing with a wooden spoon, but you may need to use your hands once the mixture becomes too thick.

Step 4

Then, roll it into a ball by the tablespoonful.

Step 5

When all done, put the balls into the fridge for an hour.

Rocky Road Slice

Ingredients:

  • 200 g milk chocolate
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g candy (any coated chocolate candy or gummy bears)
  • 150 g mini marshmallows or cut large ones
  • 50 g unsalted peanuts or almonds
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

Method:

Step 1

Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together.

Step 2

Cut the peanuts/ almonds.

Step 3

Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl.

Step 4

Add the melted chocolate. Then, mix until all is combined.

Step 5

Set in a loaf pan in the fridge for 2 hours.

Step 7

When cooled off, cut into slices.

Hazelnut Hedgehog

Ingredients

Chocolate slice

  • 250 g biscuits
  • 50 g coconut
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50 g hazelnuts
  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g butter
  • 250 ml sweetened condensed milk

Chocolate topping

  • 200g milk chocolate

Method

Step 1

Grease and line a 20cm x 20 cm square pan with baking paper.

Step 2

Put biscuits into a food processor and process until crushed.

Step 3

Put hazelnuts into a food processor and process until roughly crushed.

Step 4

In a mixing bowl, stir together crushed biscuits, coconut, cocoa powder, and hazelnuts.

Step 5

In a saucepan, add chocolate, butter, and condensed milk and heat them on the stove until smooth and creamy.

Step 6

Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and mix quickly.

Step 7

After everything is coated with chocolate, pour it into the prepared pan and spread out into one layer.

Step 8

Place in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Step 9

For the topping, add chocolate to a small saucepan and heat it until it melts. Pour chocolate over the cake and put it back into the fridge for 30 minutes.

Step 10

Cut into small slices.
