Regular walking for 30 minutes a day prolongs life, improves overall mood, protects your body from stress, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, strengthens bones, protects against depression, promotes weight loss, improves sleep quality.
Walking is simple and free. You do not need big preparations, or expensive clothes. A pair of comfortable snickers and any outfit in which you feel good will come in handy. For longer walks you can bring water, snacks, sunscreen and a hat in your bag. And maybe a spare top if you get cold.
Stay motivated – make it a habit
The coolest way to walk more is to make it a habit. Find ways to include walking in your daily routine, like walking to the shops, taking stairs instead of the elevator, walking to work, walk with your friend or family.
Try to make your walks interesting, change the routs, listen to music; Find exciting locations to explore along the way. Pay attention to the environment, connect with nature and feel the beauty inside. Along the way, you will begin to feel that you need these walks and you will feel happy and fulfilled. You can also join the walking group in your local community, make new friends and stay motivated.
