Did You Know That… Salt…

Sea salt is a salt that is formed as a result of the evaporation of seawater and is minimally processed. It contains minerals such as zinc, potassium, and iron which are smaller and easily consumed, and contains 72 of the 84 essential trace elements needed by the body. Unfortunately, sea salt also contains microplastic particles formed by the decomposition of plastic waste that ended up in the seas and oceans.

Himalayan salt is salt that is mined from the mountains in Pakistan. It is produced from an ancient sea that evaporated long before plastic was discovered, meaning that Himalayan crystal does not contain microplastic particles. It contains minerals such as zinc, calcium, manganese, potassium, and iron, with lower sodium content, compared to sea salt, which makes it healthier. Also, it has all the 84 essential trace elements needed by the body and also has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-fungal properties. Mineral-rich Himalayan salt contains lots of electrolytes which are good for detoxifying the body.

“You can trace every sickness, every disease, and every ailment to a mineral deficiency.”

Dr. Linus Pauling, two-time Nobel Prize winner
