Healthy Garlic Cabbage
Serves: 4
Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 medium-sized head of cabbage, cut into slices
- 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 tbsp of plain flour
- 1 tsp Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp homemade dry seasoning
- ½ tsp black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 tbsp parsley leaf, finely chopped
Directions:
Step 1
Soak the vegetables in a baking soda solution for 15 minutes, then rinse and dry.
Step 2
Cut the head of cabbage into slices approximately 1 cm thick and place in a medium-sized saucepan. Add filtered water just to cover the cabbage. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Step 3
Add 3 cloves of finely chopped garlic to the cabbage. Add salt, dry seasoning and pepper and mix well to combine. Cook for 20 minutes, or until cabbage is cooked.
Step 4
Heat the oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add the remaining 3 cloves of finely chopped garlic and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes, or until garlic is slightly golden brown and fragrant. Add the flour and mix well to combine. Pour a little water from cooking the cabbage into the flour mixture and cook for 1 minute, or until the mixture thickens.

Step 5
Add the flour mixture to the cabbage and mix well to combine. Cook for 3 minutes, or until the cabbage reaches the desired thickness. Leave aside for 5 minutes to cool.

Step 7
Divide the cabbage into serving bowls and sprinkle with parsley.

Tips:
- Keep the leftover garlic cabbage in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
