Chia Energy Drink

There are multiple benefits of chia seeds. They are known to maintain stable blood sugar levels, reduce the risk of some types of cancers, keep skin healthy and radiant, and help strengthen the body. Chia seeds can be ground into flour, blended into beverages, or pressed for oil. They can also be eaten raw, soaked and added to porridge, made into pudding, ground and used in baked goods, just sprinkled onto salads or added to an energy drink. Try this quick, easy and healthy chia energy drink.

Ingredients for Chia Energy Drink

  • 250 ml cold filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
  • 1 stevia tablet
  • Pinch of Himalayan salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients in a glass and stir well to combine. Leave in the fridge for 20 minutes to allow the chia seeds to absorb the liquid and swell. Serve with a slice of lemon.

Optional:

You can replace the stevia tablet with 2 teaspoons of maple syrup.
