Modern diet mainly consists of a large amount of foods that cause acidity in the body. These foods include sugar, meat, various wheat products such as bread, cakes, biscuits, pastries and pizzas, alcohol, carbonated drinks, tobacco, coffee, and dairy products.

When the body is too acidic, it takes minerals from vital organs and bones to neutralize the acid and remove it from the body. This causes low levels of calcium, sodium, potassium, and magnesium in the blood and the development of certain health problems and symptoms.

The acidity of the body can lead to the development of health problems such as weak immunity, sciatica, lumbago, respiratory problems, shortness of breath, cough, excessive fungal growth, low energy levels, cardiovascular damage, obesity and diabetes, bladder and kidney infections, premature aging, osteoporosis, headaches, joint pain, muscle pain, and heart problems.

In order to neutralize the constant formation of acid in the body, it is necessary to consume alkaline food. An easy way to introduce alkaline foods into your diet is through healthy green smoothies and soups.
